ReSound Sensia
ReSound Sensia automatically focuses on the voice you want to hear, pairing AI noise reduction with four-microphone beamforming in the world's smallest AI hearing aid.

"I had a great experience with ears for you. Megan and the team were patient in helping me find the right solution for my particular hearing issue. I tried multiple devices and ended up with something that works great for my use case at the right cost for me. Would recommend to anyone needing hearing aids." Alessandra Corona
ReSound Sensia is GN's new premium hearing aid family, built to solve one of the trickiest problems with today's AI-powered hearing aids: sometimes they emphasize the wrong voice, or even mistake background music for the sound you want to hear. Sensia pairs that AI with directional microphones that pay attention to where you are looking, so the hearing aids lift the conversation you are actually trying to follow. Just as importantly, it adds this smarter processing while keeping the very small size and long battery life of its predecessor, ReSound Vivia.
How ReSound Sensia Understands Sound
Sensia's automatic processing system is called Intelligent All-Around, and it brings together three technologies that work as a team. AcoustIQ reads your sound environment and decides which features to turn on, a four-microphone beamformer spanning both hearing aids gives preference to speech coming from the direction you are facing, and Deep Neural Network denoising (a form of AI trained by example) reduces competing voices around the person you want to hear.
GN describes the goal simply: supporting human intention, because people naturally look toward whoever they want to listen to. Sensia also preserves lower-frequency sound from around you, so you keep your natural sense of where sounds are coming from.
Designed for Difficult Group Conversations
The hardest listening situation for most people is the classic "cocktail party" problem: several people talking while noise comes from every direction. When Sensia detects steady conversation in front of you along with enough background noise, it enters a focus mode that combines the beamformer and the AI denoising to bring that speech forward, while switching to ReSound's established noise reduction when the noise is mostly non-speech like a fan or vacuum cleaner. It is deliberately patient about making these shifts, looking for a consistent pattern first, which creates a steadier experience instead of sound that jumps around every time the room briefly changes.
Sensia also avoids automatically switching into a music mode, since it cannot know whether you want to hear the band or the person across the table, so it prioritizes speech and lets you choose a music program when you want one.
Comfortable Design and All-Day Power
Even with automatic AI denoising added, Sensia keeps essentially the same small size and battery performance as Vivia. The rechargeable microRIE and custom in-ear models are rated for at least 24 hours of use, reaching roughly 30 hours depending on how you use them. It also comes in a wide range of styles, from the rechargeable microRIE to battery-powered RIE sizes and custom in-the-canal and in-the-ear options, so there is a fit for different ears and preferences.
Connectivity for the Devices and Places You Use
Sensia offers broad connectivity across the devices and venues in your life:
- Bluetooth LE Audio: Streams calls and audio from your smartphone
- Fully working Auracast: Tune into public broadcasts at theaters, airports, and places of worship right from the ReSound Smart 3D app, active at launch rather than waiting on a future update
- Enhanced listening options: In venue demonstrations, listeners could receive stage audio directly, plus options like enhanced dialogue and a separate audio-description channel
- Telecoil: At least one model includes a telecoil for older hearing-loop systems
Why the Fitting Process Still Matters
The most advanced hearing aid is not automatically the right one for every person. Your hearing test results, speech-in-noise ability, ear anatomy, and listening needs all shape which device will serve you best, and one real-world problem GN points to is that many people wear hearing aids whose best features are never actually switched on. At Ears4U Hearing Services, we evaluate your hearing and listening goals before deciding whether Sensia is right for you, then program and verify your hearing aids with Real Ear Measurement and follow-up care to make sure the technology is genuinely helping where it matters most.
